Star Struck

A good friend took these wonderful portraits of Kaia. She is 6 weeks old in these pictures.

Kaia continues to change everyday. She has been able to hold her head up for short intervals since week two, but can now hold her head up for more than five minutes at a time. Just this past week she seems to have made significant gains in arm control which has lead to the discovery of her hands and trying to shove her entire fist in her mouth. She grunts while doing this - it is hilarious to watch. Her smiles are getting more and more frequent as is her vocalization. If you listen long enough, she'll tell you story all about her favorite drink - milk.

My aunts like to knit. Daddy's sisters each contributed sections of this special quilt for me, and Aunt Laura and Aunt Cindy made hats to keep me nice and toasty. Watch me model my new gear.

Thank you Aunties! Love Kaia

With the big game approaching and mom and dad on the opposite sides of the field, we decided to poll Kaia to break the tie. Who do you think she pulls for?

Playing the waiting game

We are anxiously awaiting our baby's arrival. She's still wiggling around in my belly so she must be pretty happy in there. Overall I have been pretty happy too. We have increased the length of our evening walks to try and help her to join us on the outside, but today is our due date and the wait continues.

Here's a look back at the last 9 months:
